What Do You Think Technology Brings Us
As technology leaps and bounds, the pace of our daily lives has been accelerated without our knowledge. Have you always found time passes way quicker than in the past it did?
When you throw yourself into searching for something over the Internet for hours with nothing coming out to meet what you want, you will know time does not synchronize with technology. That is, we need more than twenty-four hours a day to meet our needs in technology.
You might find me ridiculous, saying the concept and the truth of technology benefit us. That is technology is to speed up what we do, it makes our lives far more convenient with a lot of things it creates for us as clear proof. You may be right; however, the reality is we do find time is not enough when we have to sit in front of the computer every day searching for this or that spending hours and hours. What does the problem lie when technology originally is to make our lives more comfortable and convenient but later more rushed and nervous? What kind of improvement is it?
When everyone can post on the Internet with information or ideas, there appears an abuse over it, and when we search for a little thing, we have to spend hours to find it in an immense repository of data, choosing what to read and which to believe is true or have value. Many times, we will feel helpless not knowing who to believe or trust, or feeling dizzy or stifled with the page of page data that we think we have to read and learn all.
No one has the power or authority to say if it is good or bad when the Internet allows the high and low to freely express and post their opinions or information, but when there are floods of data about a topic or subject that we have to spend a lot of time on it when doing searching, we only can blame time doesn’t synchronize with technology.
When we cannot change the situations that we are in for now, we have to smartly employ the time we have in our lives. Time is limited while technology is boundless. Don’t attempt to chase the pace of technology. Make good use of the time to achieve a life that is authentically worth living instead of being slaves to something – that – we in the past didn’t need it and could live.
