Technology is devil or angel

When technology has overwhelmingly appeared not only in the studying and research of computer science but also gain peremptory credence in gradually applying to humans’ daily lives, it has caused us to be compelled to not only make preparation to adapt but also heavily use it in a reliant way no matter whether we like it or not. Faced with such a dire change ahead, what we should do to equip ourselves? To keep increasing our capability in the area of technology would be the only way or after all, we will be culled or even unable to survive.  Yeah, it would be like an impossible mission for many seniors, when their eyes are already blind and their brains are nearly fixed, to learn how to use this monstrous advent – mobile phone – still, they have no way but to learn it with pain.
The recent two and a half years of Covid-19 have all the more helped prove technology must earn our lives the most important position. To avoid the rampant spreading of the virus caused by Covid that is to brook no delay, today we must have our mobile phone with us when we go to not a few places to record our visits. It is said to have the chasing the people who are related to the confirmed cases, allegedly claiming such a way must effectively eliminate the spreading of the virus plus an obvious motive of those in power in boosting the inoculation of the vaccine. To enter many an indoor place, we are now required or forced to scan the QR code of our electronic vaccination and testing record so that we can go in. Hence, no one can enter those places, with such a scanning app installed, without a mobile phone to fulfill such a process regardless of their personal liking of mobile phones or their right of freedom of using them, or they cannot enter many places where they have to go. Is it the absolute power of nowadays’ technology or that of humans that all of us have to admit, accept, and obey?
What is next further rendering the mobile phone omnipotent? The answer is: it doesn’t matter, for it is beyond our control now when we, all along, have not rejected it or found it a bit too powerful. It is too late now for us to ponder its prowess on us. One happy thing is technology can be a devil or an angel, it consists in whether humans would do well by humans or not. Hope humans won’t dull the halo of technology rendering it always and eventually an angel – an administering angel.
