Memories Don’t Kill

Our lives are beautifully organized and decorated by one memory after another. With different encounters occurring in different stages of our lives, memories play a major role in evidencing our experiences without mercy. That is, memories, to a certain extent, manifest what you are.
We used to take sides with recalling good and sweet memories, thinking they would make us feel happy and satisfied, and by doing so we would feel successful. However; those bad or sad memories will invariably have us recall them rendering us incompetent to manage them. That is why we will have a loathsome feeling of being haunted by the past once we recall those unpleasant memories.
As a matter of fact, what makes our lives meaningful is we can store our memories deeply and securely in our minds with no one can take them away. Although some unpleasant memories can touch us in the raw; nevertheless, they won’t kill us. Memories are intertwined, however sad a memory is, it will intertwine some dots of sweetness if you dare to recall it. Sarcastic enough, sometimes we can only recall the good and sweet memories of someone we loved and lost when the bad and sad ones are recalled in the first place. How daring you are to recall those sad memories, how much the sweet ones you would be able to own.
The most horrible feature of senile dementia is not you will get lost on the streets but it will one day delete all your memories from your mind. Without memories, a man is merely a shell of his body and living is merely an existence. Sans joys, sans tears, are amounted to sans everything alike. Undeniably, memories have played an indispensable part in our lives and deserve our every happiness or sadness to recall them.
