Why are spinsters always asked and even monitored by their parents, relatives, and colleagues about their situations about love? Do they really sincerely care about them, or they just are curious? I can say some of them are authentic caring while some are fussy, but one thing in common within them is they often see spinsters as having problems or difficulty finding a man to marry. This is because they are the older breed of women whom men may not favor regarding marriage.

According to the worldly perspectives that are frequently unfavorable to females in the area of traditionalism, spinsters are under heavy pressure if they are still unmarried beyond their marrying age.

In contrast to females, men gain a latitude in the area of marriage, and they are not often asked about their state of love by people. Men can start considering getting married when they approach their forties with sound finances and a mature mentality. It is the main difference in pressure between spinsters and bachelors when men can gain societal acceptance to get married at a rather older age. The reasons are simple, the older a man is, the better the conditions he will have, and it is the ripe time for him to find a woman to marry. And, the truth is that women who are in their late twenties to mid-thirties do not have a bit of lack as their targets.

In conclusion, there are societal double standards regarding marriage and age for men and women. It is not hard to have us brutally realize that men appreciate while women can only depreciate. However; may we believe that such society’s values don’t prove older women are not good, it only indicates that younger women are precious for men to marry because of their physiological factors.
