How to eliminate prejudice in our lives

Once there was a farmer who had misplaced his hammer in his garden and could not find it anywhere, rendering him pretty upset after his immense effort made to find it but came to naught. Without any good reason, he suddenly got a whim turning his upset into suspecting his neighbor (whom he did not like much) of stealing it lacking proof.
From that day on, whenever the farmer saw this neighbor, he got an intense feeling that he had stolen his hammer, the more he saw him, the stronger the feeling he got on him. Even when this neighbor greeted him and smiled at him as he every time did before, he just could feel his greeting and smile so disguised and fake and evil that he thought it was nothing short of a pretension. The farmer could not but grow furious and furious about this neighbor until one day he found his hammer hidden in his lumber-room which was full of clutter.
Henceforth, when the farmer again saw this neighbor, he didn’t have a negative feeling about him anymore, and when this neighbor greeted him and smiled at him, he found him nice and true unlike before he found it a pretension. What is the question of the farmer having these two extreme feelings for this neighbor when this neighbor from stem to stern acted the same toward him? The answer is the consequence and effect of prejudice. Prejudice is no doubt an aspect of human nature inherent in us; however, there are ways to avoid it arbitrarily happening in our lives causing profound impact. Although it is not easy to do so, it is not as hard as we think. I will show you some guides to prevent it from happening so that we can have more reasonable and good relationships in our lives without prejudice being an obstacle standing in our way. While it is difficult to avoid prejudice entirely, with our effort made, there are ways to minimize its impact on our lives and relationships.
Crucially, we must acknowledge that we are responsible for our judgments of others and not make assumptions based on our prejudices. Build awareness of being responsible for our misjudgments about people so that we will not recklessly place false judgments with prejudice as we please. Most of the time, misjudgment comes from the prejudice we place on the people whom we dislike. If we like someone, we seldom will lightly pose false or bad judgment with prejudice toward them, on the contrary, we will tend to be more critical, and subjective to the people we dislike and be unaccountable for our misjudgment of them, and the worst is, we don’t take accountability when we know we have made a mistake, causing such an attitude a norm in our life. It is an extremely irresponsible deed. Try not arbitrarily dislike people owing to your personal reasons is of the most crucial. Doing so can avoid unnecessary prejudices that can damage relationships and undermine your integrity.
To avoid making a mistake or acting in a bad behavior or attitude when judging people, first try not arbitrarily to dislike people because it will easily make you place wrong or bad judgment onto them with your prejudice. Secondly, we have to always make ourselves responsible for the mistake we make so that we will be considerate and careful before we act. Thirdly, we have to sincerely offer people an apology when we have judged them wrong with our prejudice so that we will not whimsically do it again in the future, for no one wants to always say sorry to others because such an act will weaken one’s self-confidence and self-esteem. By following these steps, we can develop better relationships and prevent prejudice from becoming an unnecessary obstacle in our lives.

Hello friends, I am from Hong Kong, living there and having decent education there. I am a mother of two sons and I work as a veteran counselor at a fully fledgling marital introduction company. I like to share with people some tougher experiences in the area of human relationships, marriage in particular. I find human nature is a mixed blessing. While we are bestowed upon enjoying the advantages of it, we can also flee the disadvantages of it. How? I will tell you in my books and blogs.
