As several AI language models scramble to take our intelligence by storm, what should we do to cope with it in a way that will be beneficial to the world as a result?

We rely on technology on a day-to-day basis, it is untrue that you can live without it. When we know we must rely on something, it is scary and dangerous, for the thing we must rely on will control us one day not allowing us to live without it. As technology advances leaps and bounds, we have not only to keep pace but also learn the proper way to employ it without it dominating us so that our human universe will forever be dominated by humans but not technology.

The AI language model is to assist us rather than do the task we have to do for us. As for writers, we have to write stories or books with our own creativity. The originality of a story or a book is extremely crucial, it is the lifeblood of every writer, it is the most precious thing within a writer and it is their value. If writers can ask AI to write a story or a book, despite some plot lines or some characters of it, it is not their work. And, when they get it, they find another writing software to rewrite or rephrase it to evade the detection of being checked for using AI, it means the technology does all the most important, difficult, and valuable parts of the book for them, and they just do the easiest one to get published and acquire the most reward of the whole. It is cheating!

Only when all the ideas, contents, and texts come from humans can be said original, and writers are subject to this indispensable criterion as a foundation, or they cannot be named writers. Don’t allow AI to replace your work that is holy, precious, meaningful, and is your decent identity shown. With their original work, writers can subsequently ask the AI or some kind of writing software to help them edit grammar or sentence structure to make their books come out grammatically correct.

Laziness will prevail over human beings with AI prospers and prospers if we think we must compete with one another to win efficiency or sophistication, fearing not using AI will lag behind or even be kicked out. Actually, the writing AI generates is unnatural because it writes too good and perfect to be true, and with a formal and stiff tone, it lacks humans’ feelings, emotions, and mainly imperfection.

It is not the AI language model but our laziness and ignorance going to eliminate our creativity and value that humans uniquely own.
